THE CHALLENGE:
The client needed to create additional storage space for inventory and a product display area within their new retail store. The mezzanine structure was installed inside the store, which meant the large steel beams needed to be brought in through small door openings with a forklift.
THE SOLUTION:
Solico manufactured and installed a structural steel mezzanine that suited the end client’s store layout and load capacities for public use:
- Created an additional 1,500 sqft of easily accessible storage space
- 10’ tall structure
- Engineered to:
- 125 pounds per sqft live load
- 20 pounds per sqft dead load
- Fire-coated resin deck
- Staircase and safety railing
- Custom painted black
