Solico Metal is providing structural steel for Belmont Shopping Centre, a major new commercial retail development underway in southwest Calgary.
Located at 210 Avenue SW and Belmont Drive SW, the approximately 145,000-square-foot open-air retail centre will include 14 buildings with a mix of grocery, retail, dining and service businesses serving Calgary’s growing southwest communities.
Solico’s Scope
Working with Anthem Properties, Solico is providing the structural steel package for 13 buildings within the development, coordinating fabrication, delivery and installation across the multi-building site.

Delivering Steel Across a Multi-Building Retail Development
Large commercial developments require careful coordination between fabrication, delivery and field installation as multiple buildings move through different stages of construction.
For Belmont Shopping Centre, Solico is coordinating structural steel across 13 buildings, helping maintain continuity from the fabrication shop through installation while supporting the broader construction schedule across the site.
The 13-acre, grocery-anchored development is being delivered by Anthem Properties and Harbour Equity and is expected to bring a broad mix of shops, restaurants and services to the growing Belmont and West Macleod communities. Completion of the overall shopping centre is currently targeted for summer 2027.
The project adds to Solico’s growing portfolio of large-scale commercial and retail developments throughout Calgary and Western Canada.
