Solico Metal is proud to be part of the Belmont Fieldhouse and Library project, an important civic development that will support community life in one of Calgary’s growing areas.
Spanning approximately 133,000 square feet, this major public project includes around 1.5 million pounds of steel. Solico Metal’s scope includes structural steel work, complex installation, and detailed connection elements that require careful planning, accuracy, and strong coordination from start to finish.
One of the most notable features of the project is its 254-foot unsupported span, completed without intermediate supports. This has been a significant technical challenge and an important part of both the design and installation process.
Beyond its scale, this project is meaningful because of its future impact. Once complete, Belmont Fieldhouse and Library will provide space for recreation, learning, and community connection for years to come.
Our work is currently ongoing and expected to continue through July 2026. We’re proud to help bring this essential City of Calgary project to life.
