Position: Painter and Sandblaster

Job Description:

We are currently hiring a full-time Sandblaster & Painter to join our team. This role involves physically demanding work in a shop environment and requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Key Responsibility

Perform material handling tasks
Operate sandblasting equipment
Perform industrial painting
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop
Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings.
Bachelor of Civil Engineering/Construction Management
Autonomy and ability to manage priorities
Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
Willingness to progress, learn, discover, and be part of a high functioning/fast-paced team
Exceptional organizational and English communication skills (verbal and written)
Bilingualism (English and French) would be considered an asset
The ability to effectively multitask and manage multiple priorities
Punctuality, maturity, reliability, an ability to work well under pressure with frequent interruptions while delivering exceptional customer service is essential to excel in this role
Willing to travel to the assigned construction site. Travel and accommodations by Solico Metal, if required.
Ability to operate Zoom Boom is considered an asset.

Preferred Qualifications

Valid Class 5 driver’s license
Reliable personal transportation (worksite is not accessible by public transit)
Ability to communicate effectively in English for safety and operational purposes
Physically capable of performing demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends, as required
Legally authorized to work in Canada

Working Conditions

Located at: 265031 Township Road 222, Dalemead, AB

8-hour shifts
Monday to Friday
Overtime and weekend work may be required

Benefits

Hourly wage: $21.00 – $23.00 (based on experience)
Overtime pay in accordance with Alberta Employment Standards
Group benefits: dental, extended health, and vision care
Travel allowance: $250/month
