Ongoing Project: Commercial Retail Unit in Okotoks

At Solico Metal, we thrive on turning challenges into achievements. When tasked with supplying and installing the structural steel for a Commercial Retail Unit (CRU) in Okotoks, Alberta, we embraced the design and engineering complexities and the harsh Canadian winter.

Steel installation doesn’t pause for winter in Canada, and this project proved it. Despite temperatures plunging to -15°C and heavy snowfall, our dedicated team kept the process moving. With safety and preparation as top priorities, our crew demonstrated resilience and expertise, ensuring that every phase of the project adhered to strict timelines and quality standards.

Our design team used advanced 3D visualization tools such as Trimble, to create a precise blueprint, enabling seamless planning and collaboration with stakeholders. By integrating high-speed laser cutting technology, we ensured the structural steel components were manufactured with unparalleled precision and durability.

From sketch to commissioning, Solico Metal managed every aspect of this project in-house, ensuring efficiency and accountability at every stage. Our expertise in erection and installation ensured the steel framework came together flawlessly, creating a solid foundation for the CRU.
